The simple single channel amplifier with dual power supply based on SGS-Thomson Microelectronics datasheet schema of single supply amplifier. I've built this straightforward just to check the schematics. Don't really like the result.

How can you get a simple circuit like this one, wrong?

Hurz, yes exactly. It'd limit the bandwidth too to ensure it doesn't go into oscillations

@hurz, thank you so much for your comment! I'm a beginner and I'm learning to understand the circuits - looking at examples from manufacturer's datasheets. You helped me understand that in this case I missed one point in low-quality schema picture in datasheet - I saw the dot where it actually didn't exist. Thanks a lot!

That's better. Just increase the input potentiometer to around 1k, or 10k or whatever value you wish. Everything above 100ohm is fine. At 1ohm it presents a very low impedance to the signal source
