From data sheets. Used in power opamps to protect the output stage from secondary breakdown. Does not provide gain. It just reiterates the input signal. Current source-I believe- balances the final output signal between supply rails, but I'm not sure...anyone who might know more please comment so I might learn more. Enjoi!!
