The logic train represents a 555 timer. Feeding the current back and forth thru the BJT'S. Then it is fed into the primary coil to expand and collapse a magnetic field that induces a current thru the secondary coil producing a smooth alternating current. The capacitor is used as a filter to smooth it out. This works but fine tuning the capacitor and inductor in the circuit to get des desired specifications. The same can be done with the 555 timers capacitors and resistors to tune your frequency. ENJOY
