op amp square wave

Must switch off and back on to start osc. I'm completely new to electronics and still mostly baffled by it.. Can anyone give me tips how to square this wave up more? The schematic I'm using doesn't show ground attached to the negative battery source but if I disconnect it I either get no oscillation or "cannot find solution " message... I'd be very thankful for any info. Cheers!

Those with experience in electronics had an easier time settling in to the way to make things work here i'm sure- nobody got an instruction manual so we've all been thru the "gotta figure it out" stage. There's a lot to learn here, in many aspects and on numerous levels. No big deal though, pay attention and you'll catch on. Did you notice the op-amps? No pin out for the power supply- it's implied that the thing is going to be powered so, it saves space. There's MUCH more, but you seem to have some working knowledge to start with so, hang in there, ask questions if you don't understand something, and EXPERIMENT! I've learned quite a bit in my time here, hope you do too- good luck @kin, and have fun.. =^)

Thanks for the encouragement! I learned about the 'shake to add noise' feature that starts off an oscillation and now the circuits are working! I guess the simulation is too prefect and the op amp stays balanced without the added noise... :)

This is almost exactly how a 555 timer works.
