Simple voltage doubler useful for low voltage digital circuits when you need 5V. It won't be able to deliver much current but could be useful for maybe op amps or little lcd modules. The clock signal could be obtained from a microcontroller. Ofcourse you would use schottkey diodes for this. If you need a really flat 5V, you could add another few stages and use a (LDO) 5V regulator.
