Parallel tank circuit (LC) tends to exhibit high impedance at resonant frequency. This high impedance in series with the load will make the voltage at that resonant frequency to be dropped across the tank circuit and blocked from the load.

you would get better results if you lose the resistor put the coil and cap in series and the ground in between the coil and capacitor like a TESLA COIL use a pwm to pulse it
