All your "current limiting ideas" are actually heaters. Already if not short circuit they dispite a hugh amount of power. In case of short even more. With linear regulators you are at its limits and you need a different strategy. In that power class linear regulators are a dead end.

fyi, all your circuits are 270Watt heaters. For a heater thats small, but for a supply its hugh
