A few issues, no xenon tube so I used a lamp and didn't connect it to the HV source. No SCR so I made one. No flyback transformers so I made one from two transformers. There should be about 300v but not only did I not nother I clamped it at 140v with a zener. Once I had a 1.5kv spike on the trigger transformer I was happy enough. The 140v cap doesn't discharge, it's not connected to the lamp like it would be in a proper xenon circuit since this lamp behaves incorrectly as a substitute. Takes a minute or so to charge up but then runs reliably.
