This simple circuit can be used for starting heavy loads. The circuit also allows quick soft restarts, that other simpler circuits do not allow. This is achieved thru the second comparator circuit that discharges the capacitor after switch of the load.
The Timing can be changed with the trimmer. The maximum is in this case about 2 seconds but can be changed withe the value of the trimmer or with changing the capacitor value.
The leds indicate the state of the starting process, but they are compleatly optional.
If you want to switch higher voltage you should use triacs oder relays. Please consider to change the resistor in series with your load acording to your application.
Please do not work with voltages higher then 50V AC or 120V DC if you are not trained for this work. High voltages are very dangerous and can kill you easyly!
