I'm trying to make a simulated flame lamp using parallel sets of single flickering LEDs in series with two regular LEDs. To make the flame ignite and extinguish slowly, the output of the PIR sensor (simulated here with a switch from a 2 V supply) is used to fill a capacitor and trigger a Darlington arrangement of transistors. It takes a very long time for them to fade off. I'm working on speeding up the fade off and maybe slowing down the fade on a little.
