Very well done, I dont know why this hasn't gotten more attention

probably because someone else pasted hundreds of variants of a latching switch that didn't actually work until people got bored of if

I didn't design this; visit the url

Why shall it cuz more attention. Its an two inverter schmitt trigger with a cap and feedback from the middle. This can also be done with logic inverter or 555 or OpAmp or BJTs or mosfet or as here shown in mixed BJT and Mosfet. Nothing magical about, but always nice to see again. Thanks @faceblast, im afraid you are to early @lenzrulz is still here and active. Are you sure to come back. Anyway you are very welcome!

@hurz, do you have a pure BJT version?

I have looked for a version i had ready long long time ago. Unfortunately i removed it, maybe still in trash, but with so many circuits i have and zero tool support to search folders, its almost impossible to find it. Removed because of blackmailing attacks we see here on EC for a while. @jason9 made a contest to invent the smallest toggle circuit, there is still a link and a winner🥇 but the link ends in black nirvana 😭 i will rebuild something and also a bit more to document how it works and whats the secret. Also whats the issue with an simulator environment and such kind of toggler circuits. Be patient 😃

Thanks. Useful circuit!

A different logic is probably more reliable. Spam clicking takes no effect here.

I mean, Quick clicking.

When H21 (forward beta) of the transistor is raised to just 200, which is much closer to real world value and the load is just 50mA, the switch won’t turn off. Basically the circuit is suitable for heavy loads only.

the lamp is on when I shake the phone and add noise
