I had forgotten what happens when you set up a bunch of capacitors and resistors together...

Try changing the source frequency to more than 4MHz. Most of the ac current now goes through the low capacitance capacitor even though it has more impedance...why?

I have no engineering background and don't understand what you're saying exactly. I was trying to build a low pass RC connected to a high pass RC. It does, in the freq domain, seem to do what I intend and I tuned the low C using that plot. Are you saying the app is wrong or that I don't know what I'm doing? Both may be true...

As frequency rises, a capacitor's resistance decreases, the value of resistance is indirectly proportional to the value of the frequency.

As frequency decreases, a inductors resistance decreases, the value of resistance is directly proportional to the value of the frequency.

I get that, but I don't get what's wrong with the filter...

I modified your circuit and it works now, just exchange the positions of resistor and capacitor in your low pass filter and also change their values to 2 ohm and 47 nF

yeah, I'm obviously no expert, but imo the circuit works the way it is... by exchanging those, it sounds to me like you changed the low pass into another high pass...

yeah you're correct.and 2ohm will be too small
