Capacitor function delays start

When you close the switch the capacitor will be depleted. When you open the circuit by the switch the capacitor will start to charge. When the charging is completed the transistor base will receive current. The colector emitter will let the charge to pass trought and the LED will light.

That's a very long delay! Changing the cap to 470uF us much more reasonable- the current limiting resistor should be set at 470 ohm instead of 1K as well..
